Sesame Soy Pork Bowl

This recipe was recommended by a friend, where he got it from Hello Fresh. It's a savory sweet Asian-style rice bowl.

Ingredients

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Sriracha, dash of garlic powder, and a drizzle of sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Cook rice as directed, preferably in a rice cooker. Keep covered off heat until ready to serve.
  3. While rice cooks, quarter lime. Roughly chop cilantro.
  4. Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add pork and a big pinch of salt. Cook, breaking up meat into pieces, until browned.
  5. Stir in carrots, sesame dressing, teriyaki, and garlic in chili oil.
  6. Cook until carrots are softened, pork is cooked through, and sauce is thickened. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Divide rice between bowls; top with pork mixture and any remaining sauce from pan. Drizzle with Sriracha mayo. Sprinkle with crispy fried onions and cilantro.
  8. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
